Saw this at the Salvation Army yesterday with only the hose - I couldn't find a price and when I asked they said it was $10, but that it would be 40% off so I paid $6. I really only wanted it for the cord winder which matched my other "E". When I got it home and cleaned it up, I saw that it was actually marked $5...oh well. The hose is in pretty bad shape and it had a paper bag in it that had a hole in it so someone covered it partially with a plastic bag! When I put a new bag in it, it ran quietly and soundly - just like my other one. It says "Automatic" on the front and "E" on the handle, but looking at a previous post, I see that the "E" may simply stand for Electrolux. Any way to confirm the model and date these?

The one at the top of the picture is the Automatic E (AE) and the one at the bottom is the Automatic F (AF) The hose on the AF is from the Turquois model G and the dusting brush on the AE is from the model L (Blue) or model 1205.

nice Luxes

Above is correct. The model info is at front wheel. The AE has the later, add on power nozzle outlet. The PN was not available when the AE was new but outlet could be added later if customer liked PN but not ready to trade machines. As you prove these could be used with or without cordwinder. With a good hose and new 4 ply self sealing bag you can clean almost anything in a house or car.
