Hey john,Since you're the Hoover expert,I have a qeustoin:
I recently got a Red hoover cormercial,The older kind that resembles a convertible,The convertible with the hight adjustment lens on top of the hood.It has the dust cup,And looks just like the NOS one you saw during your trip to that vacuum shop in your thread "I went to a vacuum shop today".
I also have this thing called an "Advantage",Same machine,Except in Tan and has a complete soft bag. Both of them work fine.

My qeustoin is,Is any of these worth anything?Or did i screw myself over once again?

-Alex.

All of my concerns and/or questions where answered by John G.Anyways,I am very GLaD to own one of the VERY last of Henry Dryfuss designed Hoovers,One of a dyeing breed,The convertible..

I just have one more question,2 maybe :P
1:1986-1987,A short Production?Why so short?
2:Are these just run-of-the-mill Hoovers?

...O.K,3 Questions :D...
3:Do anyone of you have the diagram and/or picture of how a convertible with power-surge 's switch is hooked up?Perhaps the motor too?The Advantage is having some....
"Wiring issues",Also Known As "Alex has managed to forget how it coonects for this is his first power-surge convertible style machine" :3)

Hello John G.

super-sweeper's profile picture
I'd pefer not to call (I'm a private/shy person ;),I hope you will understand.
Anyways,I will happily describe the scenario,And if that is in-adequate,A diagram.

There is 3 wires comeing from the motor into the switch,One blue,One orange,One white.
There is 2 wires comeing from the cord,White&Black of course.
The neutral from the cord connects to the neutral from the motor,The other 3 wires however,I am lost at.Please,If you have a diagram,or photos,or anything,Please send me a response.

-Alex.
