Hi, I have a Kirby Heritage II that I purchased new 20 or more years ago (does that make it vintage?) Anyway, I accidentally sucked up a sheer curtain, yanked it out too fast and now when I turn on the roller, I hear a loud "rattling" sound. I only happens when the roller is turned on, so it's not the motor. Not sure which parts need to be replaced. Can someone help me with this?

Remove the brush roll and check the rug plate to see if it is bent, also see if the the brush rotates freely if not remove the two screws on the end caps remove the caps and shaft and clean and lubricate.
