Check the wall socket first I had this problem in our last rental house,many of the sockets were worn and the conections were loose causing my machines to start and stop. | ||

Sounds like a broken wire in the cable, if you can find the spot, you can cut it out and shorten the cable, or just replace the whole thing entirely... | ||

If it is like the UK models there may well be a break in the inner cores where the flex comes out of the top flex hook and bends over. Seen that a good deal of times. | ||

Well I Wasn't The Cord. On Tuesday Mom Needed To Vacuum The House And She Didn't Want To Use The Kirby So She Used Mine And It Turned On! So I'm Guessing It Was My Outlet That Was Acting Up! | ||

I had that feeling Outlets do cause problems with appliances,just replace it they are cheap and this project is simple consult utube.Sanitaire's are well built machines designed to take lots of abuse their wiring is simple and parts are easy to replace.
