Unbelievable!!!!

The Buy It Now price on that is so outrageous it makes me sick!!!!!!!! We did have some new in the box machines listed here in the past and they weren't that much. One of them was an Olympia One.

And Ben, you should have posted this on the vintage eBay forum. I'm not trying to police the forums. It is just more organized if we keep eBay related posts in the eBay thread.

What was the buy it now price? The auction as of now is up to $2200.00, it's a nice machine, not worth $2200.00, especially when I sold them new in 1981 for $459.00, they used to cost me $275.00 ahhhhhhh those were the days.

That's the later style Olympia, which has the Silverado handle style.

I Wonder

About that hose.  They do have a tendency to deteriorate over time, whether used or not.  We sold some NIB Luxes and the hoses leaked.  Not saying it would, just beware.

I'm going to let this thread remain open, but please remember the vintage eBay thread that we have going continuously.

Going forward, if I catch new threads posting eBay auctions by users with more than 100 posts (long enough to know how this works), the thread will be deleted and disappear with no explanation from me. If anyone sees an eBay auction posted in its own thread, please let me know.

Thank you for your adhearance to this.

Fred

It....

seems there is no end to the deep pockets of collection-ists.  This is the perfect example. Especially agonizing for the guy who has been looking for something this nice for a longtime, has a limited budget and has to bid against them. And the collection-ist is usually older, will die somewhere in the near future and the wife/heirs will probably give most of his stuff away. That, or it will again appear on ebay for ten times this price by some n00b. Undecided

Does anyone know the difference between this and the Silverado that seems so popular to forum members?

I saw that vacuum on ebay and couldn't believe the price. I would never pay that but congrats to the seller on that item.
