just picked this up this afternoon. It's a little dirty, but it works like it should. The real kicker is...absolutly no damage to the bag!

Very cool!

I have a Model C vacuette (A little earlier) Not quite as nice. Mine is currently being restored and rebuilt by a local vacuum shop.

May I ask where you found it?

Congratulations on the acquisition of your 'new' Vac-u-ette. It is a wonderful find.

As James stated above, I'm sure she will even L@@K better when you're done with her.

Cheers & hagd/n all,

Bill

Brandon...where I found it? lol

I still can't believe it myself. I was on craigslist, and a guy had an ad for an almost complete C-4 compact, which, by the way, is IMMACULATE! I bought it, and I told him that I collect vacuums. He says, are you interested in another, and I said sure. He said it looks very old, but its really "rough", cord missing and all. He gave me a price, and I bought it unseen figuring I could use it for parts, if nothing else. Mind you, I still don't even know what I've bought, brand or anything, just and old vacuum. I met him at his storage unit yesterday, and when he brought out this "rough" old vacuum, that is missing it's "cord" I almost "swollowed my tongue" LOL I thanked him, told him that yes it was in really bad shape, and not worth much. For what I paid him for it, I wasn't going to make him feel bad. In fact, he told me that he thought he got the better deal! As far as restoring it, I don't know. I may even sell it.

What a find! Congratulations. I love that "missing cord" story ;-)
But can you show us some pics or make a short video about how it works? I've always wondered.
My guess would be some wind-up mechanism like in small matchbox car toys.
But what is it really like?
