I Love This Model! 
I found one of these at thrift store last year. I was planning on selling it but my grandparents loved it so much they now use it as one of their two main vacuums. (Both 80s Hoovers by the way) The suction is fabulous and the bags are huge. I was really surprised how much dirt it removes from carpeting considering it was using an upright brushroll in a power nozzle. Maybe that is what made it clean so well.

i agree.
I have the same one in tan, (was a friend's). It's not working. Not sure why, but, I think I'll have John Gregory (Guardsman64) look at it. I also love the plain Celebrities. They're like flattened Connies. Great suction, huge bag, indeed. I'm sure this green one will be stellar as well. Glad you like it, too. Isn't it nice to check off a vac from your "list"?
