I promised myself that I'd try to "quit", but I saw this yesterday for $20 at the Salvation Army and told myself I'd stop by and buy it if they were having a sale. Sure enough, 20% off today. Got it for $12. The light lens is cracked and it needs a service, but other than that, it's really pretty nice!

I have the same model. That is the U4349, finished in Jamaican Blue and Oyster White. Like all Hoover Convertibles, it is a powerful, reliable, yet very stylish machine. I particularly love the pattern on the outer bag. That model is definitely a keeper!
Here is a picture of mine (on the left), pictured with my U4127 and U4303.
That Convertible is one of my favorites. My grandparents on my Dad's side had that model, and I remember helping my grandfather change the bag when I must have been 2 or 3 years old. I luckily have their machine in my collection! I love the contrast of the orange pedals against the blue hood, and the gradient pattern on the bag. It's also one of the few Hoover models that didn't have the round Hoover emblem on the white base of the machine.
