OK, here's another one of those power nozzle suggestion questions.

Between a Eureka Roto-Matic with Distribulator, a Tristar Turbo Brush, a current Wessel Werks from a Hyla NST/GST, an old Rainbow SE PN (big, wide, boxy PN with woodgrain print on top and Distribulator), and an Electrolux PN4, which is the better cleaner?

I'm looking to mate one of these with my Tristar CXL and understand some of them may require modification or tweaking to fit properly.

Any other good PNs I should be considering?

Thanks!

I have most of those except the Roto matic. I THINK the top PNs in my collection are the Lindhaus PB14 The wessel werk EBK340 and the Eureka Vibragroomer 3 i've not done a test yet to find out which is the best of the best yet but i feel those are the better ones of the ones i own

Any of these...

will do an adequate job. Nuances of fiber, style of weave, condition of rug, type of soil and vacuuming technique make any real comparison moot, except under very controlled conditions.

Nuances...

Yes, I posted a question in another thread a question about vacuuming area rugs vs. wall-to-wall carpet and there are a lot of nuances between rugs/carpets, aren't there?

I suppose I'd be using it on area rugs, so I'm probably looking for a fairly gentle brushroll.

I'd also be interested in knowing your opinions on which is the best overall deep cleaner for wall-to-wall carpeting, however.

Blackheart, you mentioned the Lindhaus PB-14. You wouldn't know if that's the one marketed as the "Stealth," would you? I do have one of those as well. It came standard with the Miracle Mate that I have. I haven't used it a lot but it seems to be a fairly gentle cleaner. Maybe suitable for delicate area rugs?

Trebor, I just realized I glossed over the issue of nuances when I asked about the best PN for wall-to-wall deep cleaning. Of course, all those things figure into the calculus.

Are there any PN's that you found did not do an adequate job and should be avoided? Again, some will work better in certain situations. Just wondering if there were any known dogs.

Stealth

From the looks of it it looks liks it's the same as what i have i don't know how gentle it is i feel it's fairly aggressive if you're looking for a more gentle nozzle maybe the tristar would suit your needs a little better it's a pretty good performer and the brushes seem softer
