I would like to know how old this vaccum is and where I could get a set of floor attachments. like hose brushes an is the only one hose that will fit this model or can another model enterchange? Thanks bannie

I believe was introduced in 1962 and was gone by 65 when the Dual 50 came out, Im no real Kirby expert though..

Yes, it was produced between the fall of 1962 through the winter of 1965 (meaning: September 1962 to March 1965). This was the last Kirby to be made with the single-speed, 4-amp motor going back to the second version of the 513.

Hello Bannie,
I have the same model of Kirby, and I found my set of attachments on ebay. I see box sets of attachments come up for sale there on a fairly regular basis, so I'd suggest that'd be a good place for you to start your search. Good luck!

PS, if you care for your Kirby properly, it's highly likely to out-live both you and I before you could ever wear it out!
