Hello everyone, I am new here. I recently acquired a boxed set of attachments for my Kirby Sanitronic VII. However, it did not come with the hose. I have done a lot of looking and cannot seem to find the exact one that belongs with this set. Could anyone tell me if there are any other models of Kirby hose that would work with my vacuum, and if so which ones? I do have the metal coupler attachment that goes on the vacuum, just not the hose... thanks for your time!

Melanie, I would like to welcome you to the forum/club.

When I was doing some vacuum searches, I happened upon the forum/club myself. There are a lot of nice people in the club & a lot of helpful info.

To hopefully answer your question, The Kirby Sanitronic VII would NOT have used the metal coupler with the hose. It has/had the actual plastic coupler attached to the hose. Kirby makes a universal hose that covers models from the 516 up thru & including the 3CB (Tradition). This hose would be black. You may be able to find an original style if you are patient; & depending on, in what condition you may find it. The Kirby 562/Sanitronic was the last to use the 'stand-alone' metal coupler.

I am somewhat limited on assistance w/ other brands; however, with KIRBYs, if there's any way I may be of help that you're not familiar with, feel free to contact me directly at the office by phone [or, thru my email in my profile]. These are many times, much quicker than thru the forum with me.

If you decide you are OK with a black Genuine Kirby hose, I'm here to assist & will probably be able to save you some money on it. And again Melanie, welcome.

Cheers & hagd/n all,

Bill

Hi Bill, nice to meet you.
Thanks for clarifying that for me. It seems my box of Kirby attachments was intended for the Sanitronic model before mine. I'm not in a hurry to find the hose, so I think I'll just wait and see if one shows up for sale someplace. If not, I'll definitely keep the black replacement hose (and your offer) in mind :) Have a great day!

Melanie,

The original hose for the Sanitronic VII was sirocco ... the original Sanitronic 562 and the Dual Sanitronic 50 (the first 2-speed Kirby) also had the sirocco trim.
