in fact, it seems to me it was one of their better selling canisters (maybe because it was entry level)- i see them for sale in various places fairly frequently |

I had TWO of those turbo heads - they are nasty and not very well designed despite having a removable flap on the back. Very 1980's original turbo brush design - Vax, Hoover and Sebo all had these ones - but some were different than others.
Miele's better and updated one that is now current (STB 205-3) with the ribbed air outlet slider on the front is far better designed and has better PVC plastics. The Miele air driven head isn't as lightweight or as quick to use as SEBO's one, even if they mirror similar components, internally. |
