For my birthday Chad Cunningham surprised me with three Ultraflex hoses that he had bought at an Estate Sale. He also found a tool kit with the cardboard box to go with my 63.

I’ve never seen an Ultraflex hose in brown before. I’ve only seen them in an off white color for the Convertibles.

What kind of attachment is that at the end? It looks like a turbo nozzle but I don't know if a Convertible is powerful enough to run one.... I've never used a hose on one.

I knew somebody would ask

You are correct Bobby that is a turbo nozzle made to fit all Hoovers. Even the Convertible. I've only seen another one like it. My Constellation really spins the brush because of the improved airflow.

Thanks again for the Bags.

Hoover turbo nozzle

Sean Curry had one of these and I really enjoyed playing with it at our mini meet in Texas. Never thought I would have the chance to own one. It works well with the Dial-A-Matic, Constellation, Port a power, etc. The Convertible does spin the brush, but it bogs down.

Now that looks neat! I bet it would beat the pants off the Hoover Turbo Brush's supplied with Hoover's latest plasti-vac junk.

Ultraflex

Another collector asked me about the brown ultraflex hose as shown in the pic with the 1076. He thought I had somehow jury rigged the hose together. The hose came from the factory in brown. I'm guessing it must come with the 1060, or 1070 tool set? The hose is an odd one for sure!

There was;

seal greige..light...medium...and dark. Some called the dark ones, simply, 'the chocolate" color.

It's not so much the color of the hose but the fact that it is an Ultraflex. I'm fairly good at knowing my Hoover model numbers just not the colors! Well, I do know the colors of my favorites. I'll put it that way!

I had a hose that color with my tan and green Convertible that my parents bought new in about 1971. Didn't have the turbo brush, though. I almost never used the hose and attachments. The color of the hose matched that of the bag. The tan on the handle and chassis was lighter, almost like a flesh tone. The whole lot went to Goodwill when I moved in 1998.

Thanks! I'm just trying to figure out how common the Ultraflex chocolate brown hoses are as opposed to the chocolate brown tufflex hoses. The 1076 pictured with the hose is just an example. I know the chocolate brown attachment sets don't go with the 1076.

No, they don't.

I have a few sets of "ultralflex" hose AND attachments that go with a HOOVER "Handivac". I'll post some pics when I get to the stick vacs in my "gallery" thread.
I also have that color in "Ultraflex" for a Connstellation.

I meant that

I have a few sets of that color for my Handivacs and Connies.

It is strange to see that color for a Convertible.
