Just wondering if any of you have this machine and if it would be worth 100 bucks. It would be an hour drive for me if the seller accepts my offer (they are asking 145), but I've wanted a Sebo x4/5 for years now and never see them on C/L.... I thought this would be close even if it doesn't look quite as good. Are there any differences between the Sebo and Windsor except cosmetically?

Is it an S12 or an SR12??

If it's the S12 then it is a rare model because it has a manual height adjuster dial at the side. If it was me, Id definately buy it because later you could find the SR12 power head and just swap the body over if you are after the auto adjustment sensor head.

The SR12 is the same as our European Sebo X1 Automatic. The S12 is the same as our European XP2 but in the UK it is difficult to get hold of now. Regardless of which you'll be getting a good vacuum if it has been maintained well though check the motor belt after the hood to see if its intact.

Whoops forgot to add - the SR12 / S12 is the older model from the X4/5 series - X4/5 have uprated motors, softer exterior appearance and allows for the mini turbo brush to be added on the main hose. The older models sense a blockage and turns the motor off if the turbo brush is added.

Thanks for letting me know.... the ad says s12 which means it has the manual height adjust. Much of the reason I want this is because of the automatic height adjust so I will have to hold out. The seller hasn't responded yet anyway!

I would go for it!

My daily driver vacuum is an older Sensor SR12 with the automatic height adjustment: they're reliable, easy to service, and do a darn good job of cleaning.  Plus, they're quiet as all getout which to me is particularly nice.

Well, Id still get it regardless of the manual dial and no auto adjuster. S12's are hard to come by!
