I think the noise was just due to the belt being really stretched out - luckily there was a brand new one hanging on the handle when I picked it up and when I put that on, it just purred. |

GREAT FIND! I think that you should just check the motor bearings. I am not an expert on lubricating them but, for now, take the motor apart and check the bearings. |

@1926700: I am aware that the instructions you posted are for servicing a "pancake motor." Could you post instructions on how to perform the same services on a "blender motor?" |
