Hi, I am in the process of trying to salvage some parts off a Model 63 Hoover to make my 64 Citation more complete. One thing I'm working on now is the handle release lever. They looked the same on the machines but when I took them off, I noticed they are definitely different. My question is will the Model 63 handle release lever work on the 64? In the pic below, the lever with the white end is from the 63 and the one without a rubber end is from the 64. My plan was to transplant the 63 release lever with the white rubber end to the 64 as it was just plain metal and didn't look right.

I have a model 62 with the plain metal lever. I'm not sure if it's original.
