Well new to me Kenmore Heavy Duty upright. I've always thought these machines were interesting but have never tried real hard to find one so when this one popped up at my local thrift store for $9 I knew I had to have it lol.
Its in great condition just dirty and runs really smooth except for the brushroll bearings are a little noisy.
So far I have it mostly out of the "spa" but I will for sure have finished pics posted tomorrow(;
But for now heres a before pic from when i got it home.

Enjoy
Trevor

I really miss those days of the Sears' black and red "Heavy Duty" line.

It might be a Singer!

Is this a twin-fan? If so, then it is a Singer. I know that Singer made vacuum cleaners for Sears back then.

Oh, that brings back some happy memories. I LOVED when mom took us to Sears. I would run to the appliance section and play with those lovely black and red vacuums. I'd like to add one to my collection someday.
Nice work getting your machine pretty again.
Justin

Your Kenmore is most likely a Singer in drag. Singer produced the uprights for Sears for many years. Sunbeam uprights were also produced by Singer. You can see the similarities between these recreations and the actual Singer Twin Fan upright.
