1978 or 1979

this was one of the two plastic based convertibles from hoover....and there two BOL Convertibles at that....

the other was the Model u4119, in Golden Harvest, my mom had that machine, it was recived to her as a wedding gift in 1979, and i was told that the u4119 ran all the way to 1985, becuse i was a basic good selling model.....and somethim in 1983 it went through a slight change, the metal switch palte and toggel switch was changed to a plastic plate and a slider switch, and the color was lightend just a tad....but other wise the same...

heres a pic of the U4127 and my mom actuall U4119 my VERY first vacuum EVER

Very nice vacuums. My U4127 doesn't have the original outer bag but its a plain white bag without the red lettering at the top and it takes type C bags.

I believe that the U4127 was from the late '70s.
