Hi everyone. I have a Hoover Constellation U5233-930 that I got from my mom. She bought it on QVC but doesn't remember when. Does anyone else out there have one? I tried researching the name "constellation" but that brings up results for a canister. This is a bagged upright. Wanting to hear everyone's thoughts, comments and personal experiences. I inferred from another post on here that they might be somewhat rare or at least uncommon.

Hoover lists that model number as a Hoover Elite Upright that was discontinued, not Constellation, the only constellation is the Canister.

That's what I would assume too, but mine says "constellation" on the front of it.

Hoover often did this. There was also a maroon Legacy upright labeled as a Constellation. They also had the Spirit upright, as well as Elites labeled as Convertibles.

in 1996 maytag began the recyling of hoover product names in an attempt to keep them in the system in terms of trademark fees.....the rights were paid for and they needed to assign them to products thus your constellation upright

So maytag bought out hoover? I thought this one was purchased around 2000-2003 but I could certainly be mistaken. It didn't seem to clean very well the few times I've tried it. Any idea how much it might be worth?
