I've inherited this excellent machine, and seems like you are the type of folks to appreciate it.

Granny purchased 9/27/76 (have reciept) and took very good care of her expensive machine. Guaranteed to never have run into a wall or piece of furniture. In the small, pet free, smoke free, kid free apartment of a senior citizen neat freak, it probably never even cleaned up real dirt. Used on cleaning day (and bag emptied cuz you don't want that dirt in the house) until she had to quit vacuuming 8 years ago. It works great, is very clean, in excellent condition and has all original parts. The accessories are still shiny! Chrome head may need a little buffing, but not much.
All attachments and accessories in original box. (manual, all extension tubes, hose, surface nozzle, swivel attachment, duster-buffer, duster brush, crevice tool, Utility brush, utility air nozzle, shoulder strap, portable handle, 2 new belts. massage cup, inflator/deflator, crystalator)

If you like the curvy look and want to bring a piece of 70s spirit into your home - you will LOVE this Kirby. Not only does this antique have its good looks but it is still fully functional. Fancy retro look in Candy apple red and chrome with a red Scottish kilt design bag.

This is the top of the line Cadillac of vacuums with a metal fan. This is the last of Kirby vacuums not to have a disposable bag. Instead the bottom of the bag opens up and dirt is shaken out. Upright vacuum, but converts to hand held unit. Serial # A388-632

Make me an offer.

I noticed the local craigslist has more attachments for this machine $40 minneapolis.craigslist.org/ram/zi...

Jody,

Two of the parts have been replaced on this machine: the handle grip and the bag. For the 1976-77 season the plaid bag (#190076) was stitched differently, and that changed during the 1977-78 season and remained so (#190077) until being replaced by the Tradition in July 1979.

The original handle grip (#173376) was once pointy at the top and had its cord/bag hook on the back end rather on the side facing the bag.
