I would guess that the U4371 was from the mid to late 1980s. I am not 100% sure, however.

Thanks you, I was thinking that too. It has a nice retro orange color with a brown half bumper. The serial number on it is 00041440

I have

A lightbluish green U4391. I'm told not to use it because when the brush goes it's done. Is there anything to worry about?

I am sure you know by now the vac is sunburst orange and was sold new in 1985 is when my sister bought hers hope this helps
