Hey!
I found this vacuum today. It looks almost non used. This is from 1994 and it is made in France.

Best Regards
Markus

This is made in France. This vacuum cleaner was sold in Finland in 1994.

Ah thanks for that. I did wonder as I know we didn't have anything like that in the UK at that time. Our compact cleaners were called Sprint by 1994.

We did have that cleaner in the UK but with 100 watts lower. I knocked back a green Sprint 1000 version - very bulky but oh so well made and durable!

As VR says, it was called the Sprint but our 100 watts lower version, in white went under the name of "Sprint Electronic 1100 SC118." Came with a "Contour" single pedal floor head. Confusingly though there were two versions of the Sprint - the more modern one as Markus' lucky find above and an older model with a larger carry handle and switches set horizontally across, the SC116 Sprint Autoflex and SC114 Sprint 1000 with no auto cord pedal and a single tiny rocker switch. I think Hoover eventually gave the older model the name of "Compact." Supermarket exclusives from the Co Op in red was known as "Super 800" and a beige model called "Deluxe 700."
