Has anyone else here ever try Novus plastic polish for restoring and polishing plastics, on their vacuums and such?

All I am going to say is just...wow.

I first heard of the stuff 4 years ago when I scored a 1976 GE Portacolor TV. The seller restored that TV with Novus, and the thing didn't have a scratch on it, and shined so well.

I finally bought some for myself, and I used it on my 2 Convertibles. I was so surprised at the results. They were both scuffed up all over, not shiny at all. This stuff did wonders.

I can see my reflection on top of the hoods. And not only that, using the #2 scratch remover, will restore faded and yellowed plastic. I used that on the headlight lens on the U4007, and it took the yellow away from it. It is actually a slightly tan tinted lens all cleaned up.

I forget who mentioned it on here, but I bought some Vinylex and used that on the furniture guards too. That worked great!

Novus Polish

Mike,

Novus products are great. I'm assuming you have the plastic and scratch removers No. 1, 2 and 3. No. 3 is great for deeper scratches. If you like it now, you should try it with a power buffer. Simply amazing. Great stuff.

Mike

I have used the stuff but never on a vacuum before. I got it from a coumputer parts web site I was surfing. It was sold for polishing computer case windows(see image below). I was not overly impressed with it's performance on the clear acrylic that the windows were made of. Since the two of you seem to think that it works great I'll have to try it on colored plastics sometime.

My computer with clear window in side panel:

I use polishing sticks with my buffer. I have received great results on my telephones and aluminum vacuum parts! I highly recommend investing in a big 'ole motor, some buffing wheels, and some polishes. It really does pay off!

~~K~~
