I'm thinking of buying one in the new year from eBay reconditioned and was wondering if anybody here could recommend it ?

A purepower?
Here's my advice....



don't bother!

They're loud, poorly made and underwhelming performance wise. They don't use the old activator brushroll like your T1000 does and the motors are notorious for burning out. Hoover haven't made a decent vacuum since they stopped making the T2's in 2003

Also...

The handle release pedal will fail, and there is no suction control for the 2000+ Watt motor, so the machine will stick to everything.

Seriously, I recently considered the Purepower, and came to the conclusion that there were just far too many cons and not enough pros to justify buying the machine.

Went with the Panasonic bagless instead: altogether a more useable machine.
