The worst vacuums are the Euro-Pro Fantoms, Bissell Powersteamer series, even the Dirt Devil Ultra Hand Vac. |

@turbomaster84 Yes I agree!
I've checked his profile, and he is 14, which probably explains why he want into a fit of rage when the Dyson stopped working - Immaturity. I've NEVER thrown any Vacuum Cleaner down the stairs when it doesn't work. Even the 2007 HOOVER Dust Manager that lost all its suction then had electrical issues got a dignified death of being left out for the bin men, not thrown down the stairs three times. Honestly - Get a grip man! Even if the motor did blow, you could have gotten the motor changed, or sold it on eBay as spares or repairs instead of being childish. |

I understand that his parents perhaps wouldn't allow him to do anything else with it, but that doesn't make it right to throw it down the stairs three times, and possibly damaging his parents house while he's at it!
What if it had tumbled into a wall and took a big chunk of plaster out ? I'm sure his parents wouldn't have been happy with that. |

Hit a sebo with a hammer. And then hit a dyson. It just bounces straight back off the dyson, it leaves a big dent in the sebo.. |

It's incredibly hard to try and decipher what the actually discussion is here. Being "just a kid" (by the way, 14 is not a kid. 4 maybe, but not 14!) is hardly an excuse to post anything about smashing vacuums up on a forum designed for enthusiasts of such appliances, let alone one that doesn't make any sense.
Baglessball, I think can of a few other things I'd rather hit with a hammer LOL. I'd love to know why in the heck you've been taking hammers to vacuums that cost £200+ to discover this in the first place. I have a very interesting video to put up in regards to Sebo and Dyson. Keep your eyes peeled, I'll make a post about it once I've uploaded it. |

Lets see, I was 18 when I moved out of my Mums and started collecting my own machines. Up until then, I'd always just had my Mums vacuum. I think she'd have actually shot me if I'd started smashing the vacuum cleaner up. It really irritates me how some people seem to think they can treat any machine like it's a toy and just smash it to pieces.
Seems like I'm the only one, but I've never had the desire to go around smashing anything up, let alone the vacuum! And the government wonders why the country is falling apart if all the youth want to do is smash stuff. |

Errrm, do you know what stereotyping means?
I'm not "stereotyping" anybody. That would be awfully hypercritical of me, for a start. I was merely expressing my opinion over his obvious disregard for the cleaners he is boasting about smashing up and advising that he needs to be more careful when posting to ensure it makes sense! I've nothing against him personally. Heck, I don't know him at all! I've not said anything nasty or rude about him as a person at all. I just don't like the idea of somebody smashing up vacuums and thinking it's fun. |

well for starters, you spelt misspelt and criticise wrong.
Secondly, I couldn't care less if you can spell - that's the British education system for you. But when your spelling and grammar is so poor that I can't actually understand what you're trying to say, then I'm perfectly within my rights to be judgemental. |

Nor does Parwaz have any rights to go around upsetting people here which is what he did do.
What some people seem to forget this is a site dedicated to the collection and PRESERVATION of vacuums. Nobody who advertises here they literally smash up vacs for the sheer hell of it has a right to be here in my book. It has also been requested by the webmaster in the past that videos containing vacuum destroying NOT BE LINKED OR POSTED HERE. Why should it be any different for an immature 14 year old to make threads of this nature. Now Parwaz has said his piece since and he knows he was wrong. What a lot of you immature kids dont realise is that we know you all use your ages to play various "Cards" and it does not wash with me. You know exactly whats goin on and in actual fact its going against you because I for one wont be inviting anyone whom has had a past in deliberately breaking machines for fun to any meet I host. Something you ought to spread amongst your friends to inform them cos when you all want to come and play the answer will be no from me. Im not having my collection ruined, end of. Quiet easy to figure out who is who from youtube too making stupid idiotic videos of such vile nature. Balls in your courts guys. |

Well I am happy with my Machines. The Bush name was purchased by Argos in 2008 and is used on cheap machines. These cheap vacs are like toys I see them in ASDA etc but at 20.00 Pounds thats what you get. Poundstetcher had some awful version called powerforce. Why Power farce. You have to pay at least 100.00 for a decent machine others are just throw away toys

Jake grow up before you alienate yourself from this group. Respect for elders always came before anything else. this is how it works, if you dont agree or like it then dont post. Quite simple really. Back to the PRESERVATION and COLLECTING. |

No, the Floor Washer I'm refering to was a 1950s Floor Washer (resembles a Regina Steemer) before the Floor-A-Matic came out. Its RIDICULOUS about my neighbor who said "I don't want it, you can't have it either" attitude. |

The spelling "criticize" is correct for American English; it's one of those differences like the American "color" and the British "colour." |

Some collect numerous brands. Others (like myself) are loyal to one. Even among the great HOOVERS, some were better than others. WE're all entitled to prefer one over the other.
And, American spelling vs European: Let's all just take a nice deep breath. I have molding and "moulding" in my house. HOOVER is my personal favorite(favourite), color, (colour) too. What kills me is Americans spelling U.S. English terribly. WE ALL have and will make spelling errors in here, especially when typing fast. I had 20 years of nuns! Do you KNOW what that does to a person?, lolol |

i'll include a link to his channel,he does the same thing. He pushed his dyson down the stairs saying "see, that's how tuff they are"! AND he proceeded to,in another video,SUCK UP WATER with one of his dysons!just scroll down his page and you'll find "for brandon-dyson being pushed down stairs" and "in your face richard!DYSON SUCKING UP WATER".it makes me sick! as for you, pawaz,in the future,if you're a true vacuum collector, please do not smash a vacuum cleaner, even at it's last limb.try your best to get it back up,sell it,or just leave it for the garbage collector. Not wanting to get dragged into what seems to be a mighty mess, one of the things I do is a consultant engineer to a vacuum company here in SA and I must say the worst part of that job is purposely damaging a good machine, I hate it, We have to take a brand new vacuum and drive it into walls, drop them ,over load the motors. It kills me every time we destroy a vacuum

We recycle the machines when we are done with them, Its by no means a wast of money , we have found horrendous faults with vacuums that would have caused major problems if the vacuum had hit the market. In SA our conditions are allot harsher than in EU country's.
I could never with a clear conscious sell a machine we had nearly destroyed as a rebuilt vacuum that would not be right at all. |

This is easy.
I was visiting my sister and she gave me her vacuum to be serviced. That nightmare of vacuum was Volta/Zanussi ErgoEasy bagless canister. Now to the problem. Horrible cyclone design. It was clogged very badly when I got it. I cleaned the whole vacuum and filters. Bin is in two part. Another part is cyclone chamber (pleated "hepa" filter in it). Second chamber is where the dust should be collected. Cyclone system is designed to work the way that dust is separated in cyclone chamber and then it should enter the another chamber. Problem is that separation doesn't work. Almost all the dust just get wrapped around the pleated filter and it clogs the vacuum. To make it worse dirt can't enter the bin because it must first go through the cyclone part. Which gets clogged in a few minutes. Overall vacuum is poorly made, hose and cord is very short and it's extremely noisy. That high pitched scream is pain to listen. No sound insulation what so ever. So I saved the motor and I threw away rest of the vacuum. As a return I gave my old bagged Volta to my sister and she has been very thankful about that. She said that it's the best vacuum she ever had. |
