Out with the old and in with the new. After ten years of use, my G4 is out. I just purchased my very first Miele, Capricorn with the 236 nozzle head. Should be arriving before this fourth of July, Im very anxcious. lol
Anyone here have there first time stories of owning a Miele vacuum? Any tips? etc. etc.

Miele Capricorn

Joe,

Congratulations on your new purchase. I purchased a Capricorn a couple of months ago and absolutely love it! IMHO, my first Miele was a great vacuum, but the improvements that have been incorporated into the Capricorn--vortex motor and SEB 236 power nozzle--make it an incredible vacuum. If you haven't done so already, I strongly suggest that you install the HEPA filter. You might also consider getting a non-electrical hose to do your above floor cleaning. IMHO, the handle on the Capricorn makes it very difficult to manuver the dusting brush. You might check into getting a horse hair dusting brush. The new dusting brush is just awful. I still use the horse hair brush that came with the Miele S324i that I purchased 10 years ago.

A tip from across the pond....

Id say this for most cleaners, but it holds doubly true for Miele IMHO.

NEVER!! use anything other than genuine Miele bags- especially not any with a cardboard collar!

Nothing else comes close- also over here at least using non genuine bags can void your guarantee.

Miele: Immer besser!

In my opinion, nothing on the market comes close to beating the performance, quality and durability of Miele and Sebo machines. I bought my Miele Solution HEPA 700 a few months back, and I wouldn't trade it in for anything (apart from maybe a Miele Revolution with the electrobrush!). It works brilliantly, filters brilliantly, remains efficient even with a full bag; you couldn't ask more of a vacuum cleaner!! I'm sure you'll be very happy with yours.

Miele

I have a Miele Champagne, a valentines gift from my BF. Best canister I have ever used, hands down!
