I stripped the paint off of this to repaint it and thought it looked kind of nice with a bare metal base... I just might leave it this way.

that hoover looks awesome if not brilliant....i have repaired and resold hundreds of 1070s and never did one look so beautiful or unique as your unit.....its shame hoover did not do this when it was launched....very impressive what you have done...very guardsmanesque

i am curious to know how you stripped that paint so perfectly.....what a professional job....hoover should have done this.....you have a precursor to the u4125 guardsman with the embelem

To remove the paint, I just took everything off the base, took it to my wire wheel to strip off the paint, then polished it like a Kirby. Thanks for the compliments!
