I was looking through some vacuum websites and found this:

Complete with the Sidekick and everything. I am very surprised they can sell these machines. It even says at the end of the page:

"Vacuumcleaners.net is not an authorized Aerus dealer and all warranties would be covered through Vacuumcleaners.net and not the manufacturer"

They're probably gray-market goods. Bought from an out of business business or something, new, but since they're not being sold by an authorized dealer the warranty will be void.. You see a lot of this sort of stuff at liquidation stores.
