Can you look on its nameplate to see where it was built-US built Royal machines are the best.If its noisey-may be a bad fan or bearings.If its got a blown fan or bearings-the price is too high. | ||

If it doesnt break your budget buy it. The newer royals with the 9.0 amp motors are loud but they are great carpet cleaning machines.I like mine as much as my kirby's just purchased one for $15.00 is was built around 2000. | ||

Go to Utube and watch Hi Nathan,on "UTUBE"there are several great videos of royals you can here the sounds of the newer models are loud,there are also some great videos of electrolux's enjoy.The royal commercial vacuums new are expensive this could be a fun project for you to restore. | ||
