I just thought I'd post some of my more recent estate sale finds. First up is a Hoover 65 Convertible with the one piece handle and original bag. I found it in Wichita at an estate sale when I was visiting for Thanksgiving. My father mentioned that a sale there had two Hoovers, a 65 and a 34. He asked if they were anything speical. I said, of course, both are. Well, when I went the next day, I found the 65 was worth getting but the 34 wasn't. It had a brown hood and bag. Then the very next weekend I was going to sales in KC and found another Hoover 65 with a one piece handle. It didn't have the original bag and didn't look in all that great of shape. The handle was faded bad. I almost thought maybe it was off a 67 Convertible but a 67 wouldn't have had a one piece handle so it must just be faded. I found an early Hoover DAM a month ago at another sale. I picked it up for Kenny Loveland. Then this past weekend, Kenny came up and we went to estate sales and found the Eureka Vanguard with the original box top bag. I still am just in awe that I found two 65 Convertible with one piece handles in the matter of a week's time. Its rare that I see a 65 but what are the odds of finding two with one piece handles?

Jason - I'm glad you are taking the Eureka. At least you can see a picture of it so you won't have to wait two weeks.

Chad - Thanks for posting. I was about ready to call you and tell you not to worry about posting our finds this weekend.

It’s hard to tell by the picture, but I am really proud of my 65.

Lucky you!

I'd give anything for one of those Seniors (as we call them in the UK), let alone TWO!

What do you think you'll do with the one in slightly worse condition ?

Restore it, or just use it as it is ?

It seems it isn't just the layout of our vehicles (steering wheel on right hand side) that is different from America, it is the HOOVER's too!

All UK Hoover Seniors had the power switch on the left hand side and the HOOVER decal on the bag on the right hand side

Everything is reversed!
