Today i headed over to maidenhead in berkshire to pick up an Electrolux 612. Its in fair condition but has the wrong colour handle (not botherd as it was only 99p!)
Just tried it out and it sounded fine on the low setting to medium when on high it makes horrible noises?
Is it the bearings?

I saw that on eBay?

I used to have a couple of those when I was younger! And on each one the brush roll had snapped on half!

In half?

Wow, they are pretty good machines actually they groom nicely. I am going to try and find it a new motor because when i opend up the bag cover there was a burst bag and most of it got to the motor.
And yes you probablly saw it on ebay!

Electrolux 600 series...

The 600's, I believe, were the first upright vacuums on sale in the UK for a domestic market to feature on board tools.

They're absolutely one of my favourites. I have a 616 in excellent condition and I love it. I use it quite a bit. Really hope you can get this back into a decent state again

I will upload a picture of it. Its in really good condition actually, its amazing what wipe down with a anti-bac wipe can do!
I have decided its going to be my project for the next few weekends. I found a new motor for it on the internet so going to replace that too.
