hoover convertible flickering headlight bulb problem |

i took apart my convertible 1076 tonite to fix the flickering headlight bulb. i sanded the bulb contacts, and the contact recepticles, but when i turned the vac on, the bulb still doesn't have a constant voltage. it still flickers between on and slightly less bright (not totally off and on flicker). what else could be wrong? the bulb looks in good shape and not burning out. i want to weed out other possibilities before replacing the bulb, they are not cheap.

Bulbs.. I agree, sounds like a bad bulb, and my local hardware store sells them for like 2 bucks. | ||

Just look/ask for "Appliance Bulbs", they're everywhere, both in 15 and 25w form... :) | ||

You can also ... ... find good bulbs reasonably priced at Hesco (www.hescoinc.com...) and in the sewing machine section at Jo-Ann Fabrics (or any store that specializes in sewing machines, crafts, notions, and such). | ||
