Is it true that the Royal 992, 993 and 9000 had always had a white pigtailed cord?

The 992 and 993 were dark blue trim overall; while the 9000 had burgundy trim overall.

Since the 992, 993 and 9000 do have a pigtailed cord, as well as models 884, 886 and 887, that could mean Royal must still have offered the Extra Equipment Kit No. 368 at the time. Correct?
