Ok, I dropped off another Oreck XL 21-For a tune up, came back and the guy said it needed a new roller brush, (which I knew it did) and he said the fan was toast as well as the fan housing. Because the housing was shattered ( too many pennies? Hahaha) I saw the fan and it did look pretty bad, but still it gets used everyday, and alot of times my family members and me- sweep up a coin or screw, on accidents, the man there is very nice and has always been good to help out me and my family, on that note, while I was in the Oreck Store, Used the new Forever Series Gold, (same as the Platinum-Different color) and.. My personal favorite "The Quest Pro" ! I LOVE. That canister.. Next time you go in there-use that canister! It's so quiet, and I really enjoy using it, (almost christmas (': Hahhaa) So enjoy this thread, let me here some stories too! Take care (':

Its made by the same factory in China who does a lot of other canisters that look very similar. PN is pretty junky, but the canister is pretty much in line with Royal's S20 and Hoover's Windtunnel Platinum (same thing). Its nothing special by any means, but its a good price point for a power team.

Very true Josh, the new Chinese Oreck cans are nothing to be proud of at all.

I adore my Dutch Tech. I have the green one. I also love my 21 upright too. I have the black/gold one with the pink breast cancer ribbon on the bag.

The Dutch Tech canister was made by Philips of Holland for Oreck. I forgot which model it was, but it was one of the models Philips called by a European city. I think it was the Philips Oslo vacuum - see link below -
