I don't think it's cheaper. Take a look at the Vax web site. You can now get the X5 for $199 or the X3 for $179. The Dirt Devil is $270. In my opinion I would go with the Vax.

Spinnergy? Name sounds familiar. Where did I hear that name? Can't think of what it is but it sounds interesting.

They have so many models I can't keep track of them, and half the time they can't either.

I-Vac

Do NOT by an I-Vac. They're useless!! My friend has the UK Vax equivalent and the suction is average, the construction is awful and it can only clean one room at a time before it over heats and cuts out.

I had a Vax AVC-1 a year or so ago (basically an older version of the same machine!) - I quite liked it, it's edge-cleaning feature is especially well thought-out and works well. It did get very hot very quickly, though. And the filter has to be regularly cleaned to maintain suction. The wierd stair/riser nozzle was useless, I HATED it!

I'd say it's not brilliant, but better than a LOT of what's on the market nowadays.

Tried one at the Vacuum Cleaner Hospital out here-HORRIBLE-The machine was repaired and offered to me the owner "abandoned" it was left after 30days-the vac shop owner offers these machines to me-Off to the flea market instead of to me.The machine was messy to use-the filter clogged quite often-even trying it in the store.Just looked lame in construction as well.See why it was abandoned.
