Hello everyone,
Last night I went to have dinner with some good old friends of mine. An older couple Stan and his wife Cathy. While we were eating Cathy asked me if I remember her buying a brand new Kirby last Summer. Of coarse I did because when she bought it she called me to come see it but she never took it out of the box. She didn't want her husbend to know she spent 1,300.00 on a vacuum plus he had surprised her with a new Dyson DC-14 in light blue. Well she told me she still had never used it but her son took it out of the box and used it once and it never got touched again, the vac went right into the closet for a while longer. When we got back to their house she said I want you to take the Kirby. So I thought ok she wants me to sell it for her. Nope she said honey this is a gift for you. I asked if I could buy it and both of them said no I was a special person to them and it was a gift. I was so shocked and excited, omg I have a pretty much new Sentria!! I will post pics tomorrow. Sadly when the son took it out of the big box he tossed it and isn't sure where he put the tool caddy but the vacuum and renovator where put back in the laundry closet for safe keeping. I will most definately get pics tomorrow when I use it. I washed the dirt tube just for the heck of it and didnt get hardly any dirty water so her son must have just tested it out. I didn't get to see the hepa bag to see how much dirt was picked up as she took it out knowing she was going to give it to me.

Don't mind the finger prints on the nozzle, I tried to wipe them off but they sneak up on ya. Thats the one thing I hate about all that metal is the finger prints.

Great gift! I have many fond memories of the Kirby. For some reason they've always reminded me of my Dad's old '69 Pontiac Bonneville. Just starting my collection, but hope to have a Kirby some day.
