Ok so when I posted on the thread Miele& aerus vs talcony company I had some pretty mean things to say about the Miele upright.
These came from me having bought a silver s7 when they first appeared on the market, Maybe it was a dud or an early production model or maybe they have been improved but it was terrible, its swivel neck did't move with ease, it felt poorly put together and its cleaning ability was not all that good especially compared to the canister models with a pn.
Kirbyloverdan posted that consumer reports rated it a the best in class cleaning . This made me think and so on thursday afternoon when the shop was nice and quiet I slipped ou to our miele agents and bought a s7 cat&dog.
Will its amazing how our perseptions on a model can be made by just one machine. this is such a nice machine, quiet easy to move powerffull, its very well put together you can tell its german like the interior of a audi. Its so user friendly.
The only thing I can really fault it on is the cleaner head, they have made it super low to get under furniture but they should have maybe added some rubber strips along its edges so it doesn't scratch the lovely looking red finish.
Any way my appologies to Miele for knocking your upright, I think that first one was a total dud |

I like the positive aggitation of this machines brushbar! I don't think the suction on the uprights is as good as the cylinders though! |

I was chatting to some one I know and he been a total miele fan has had one since it came out , although he didn't find much wrong with it he had also never used a dyson ball or sebo felix so he had nothing to compare it to .
two weeks ago he damaged the cord so he took it back to miele to have it replaced and they told him that his machine been a early model qualified for some free upgrades. Well he couldn't believe the difference it was smother to twist had more power and didn't feel as loose as before.
I.ve been using mine all day in our normal sunday house clean up and I am really impressed.
I am still not a fan of bags but it works well and it can go under the childrens bed which no bagless upright can.
Now I want to see how it stacks up against the dyson dc41 when I get one |
