I have been receiving Oreck catalogs regularly since about 2004. I'd be happy to scan some for anyone who wants to see them. I know one is the introduction of the XL-21 and many of them a feature a yellow Oreck that has a built-in FM radio. Others show the DutchTech, Orbitor, some of their industrial vacs, and the previous generation of the Rinse-A-Matic. Fairly recent but still interesting. Just say the word and I'll be right on it!

I'll start with the oldest catalog now. This is one is from early 2004, right after I got my first Oreck. This is the cover

When I first found out about Orecks, this was the model I wanted. I wanted so much. I even remember giving my family a 'demonstration' of the model, even before I had one. I ended up getting a Classic instead.

Now you can see why I wanted the XL2. Who wants a basic vacuum held by an older maid? And I see Oreck beats Kenmore aswell........

My grandparents bought us three of these. They do the job, but I don't know how well. The bearings had to be replaced 3 times in each one. Thank goodness for Oreck's long warranty.

Early Oreck

I have a full page Oreck ad from 1992. I didn't know people collected Orecks. My mom had one many years ago, it was p4retty decent and certainly lightweight!

Wow I had no idea oreck make so many different products it's funny they never really advertised all of them. Zach

XL 21

Today we fast-forward to 2005. The first three pages are the introduction of the XL-21, and the rest is almost exactly the same as the catalog already posted. No new products, just some minor changes in pictures and the updated Buster B. So here is the XL-21

Oreck just mails them to us. My family has bought many of their products so we must be on a mailing list. I haven't gotten a catalog for awhile now, but they still send some letters with full page advertisements for their newest XL uprights which I save as well. I just got one last week. I have a few more I haven't posted; I think the newest is around 2008-2009.

nice information. I found a green commerical oreck in a trash can....the handle was clogged with dirt that should have been hand picked up. took it home and cleaned it up......bin using it for over 10 years.

Does anyone know what the Orecks with the gold colored logos were called? I can't seem to find any documentation about it or what it signifies.

That's the model 2610 which is pretty much the same thing as the 2600. Just that the cord is black instead of white and the decals are gold instead of black. Other than that there's nothing really special about it, just another one speed Oreck 8 pound upright vacuum.

The 2610 was sold at an Oreck store, whereas the 2600 was sold via mail-order. Thus followed the 3610, then the 3710. Hope this helps....

Yes, the model number is XL2610HH

That is correct. One of my neighbors had a 2610 before and they did bought it from their local Oreck dealer. This ad shows the 2600 that anybody could've ordered through advertisement back then.

I personally like them and Oreck filled a share of the vacuum market looking for a light weight vac. Now, I guess it’s Sharks and Tacony’s light weight upright for those who still visit vac shops.

thanks for clearing that up - I will have to fix the title on mine, I had it mis-identified as a Gold Signature Series but it appears that is something entirely different.
