Hello, I am not a vacuum collector myself, I have an uncle (now deceased) who was an "Electrolux Man" for almost 50 years. I hope some "shameless self promotion here is okay! If not, sorry, just delete my message.

I have sold a few things on eBay in the past that I got from him, and now my aunt has found more Electrolux goodies and I'll be posting them on ebay. Right now, I have what seems to be a very rare "Golden G" sales trophy that my uncle won in 1961. You can see it at the link below.

If interest proves worthwhile, I'll be listing some other stuff, time allowing, mostly sales literature: catalogs, beautiful color cut-outs showing the insides of the Electrolux, sales magazines and guides, sales awards, etc. I have a whole box of that stuff that I want to see go to a good home. I hope someone here will find these items interesting and irresistible!

Thanks,

Colleen in California

Wow I have one of those Golden G models too. They are pretty special. I hope it does well for you. If you ever run across any information on it, like what color the hose and power nozzle would have been I would love to know as mine came without.

To kirbyvertibles, my aunt said there were no attachments for the Golden G. It was a sales award trophy and not really a vacuum for cleaning, even though it does run. All my uncle had was the vacuum machine only.

To goadie12, as stated above, and in the auction description, my aunt said there were no attachments for the Golden G. It was a sales award trophy and not really a vacuum for cleaning, even though it does run. All my uncle had was the vacuum machine only, and he had kept it on display in his Electrolux Store, with all his other sales awards and trophies. Seems he was quite a successful salesman.

Looks just like the Golden 65 Convertible -- like they took a can of spraypaint at the factory and sprayed it gold. Nothing spectacular.

Cool specimen nonetheless.  I wonder how many were made/given away?

Gold colored vacs

I thought golden Electrolux was the 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee? I didn't know a gold Model G existed!

btw, was the Hoover Convertible 65 an Anniversary model?
