Does anyone have a wiring diagram/pin out for the foot switch?

I got a Legend II at an estate sale that had the foot switch replaced with a metal toggle switch. I picked up a replacement foot switch but I'd like to be sure what wires go where.

I guess this would be the same as the Heritage I and II as well.

Thanks!

Joe

I'd second getting the service manual if you're planning to do electrical work, I've managed to muddle by with my Kirbys, but, that's because I had a reference to hand in another Kirby, plus I wouldn't be much help as UK Kirbys have slightly different wiring... :)

Joe if you are on facebook sign up on Vacuum Collectors Club and look under "photos", I have posted scans from the Heritage II service manual there. Otherwise send me an email and I can forward you the page with the foot switch diagrams.

Dave

Hello Dave,

Do you have a link? I looked on facebook but couldn't find anything. There was a Kirby Vacuum Collectors Club group which I joined but there weren't any scans under photos.

Thanks,

Joe

Thanks for the link Will.

Seems like when I get a cheap fixer-upper, I spend half again as much with "Kirbyfans";)
