I saw an Airway vacuum at a garage sale in my neighborhood. This vac may be missing a cap on the round part on the stick (as you can tell, I do not know vacuum cleaners). The bag seems in good shape, though it does not have the airplane logo on it. Is this a valuable vacuum in "good" or "fair" condition? Should I have bought it for $50 and put it on ebay hoping to make a profit? I should have taken photos--sorry, I did not. If it's worth decent $'s, I think I can still purchase. Thank You in advance for any advice.

It might be worth $50 if in good condition. Does it even work?

but the more serious question is.... does it have a brushroll? If it does, then you must go get it! Very rare.

What is a brush roll? I believe the "head" of the vac, the part that touches the floor or carpet, has a rolling brush that turns inside to dislodge debris on the rug or floor.

That is a brush roll. A revolving piece (in your case metal) with tufts of bristles to clean the rugs.

YOU need to get it! Airway vacuums that have the roller brush in them are VERY rare and highly sought after.

Thanks, Brandon. I'll pick it up tomorrow if he still has it. What might it bring on ebay if it works?
As I said, I would guess fair or good condition. Guessing date of manufacture in the 1930's.

There is a fair possibility that you could fetch a couple hundred for it in an ebay auction. All depending on condition of course.

Set a starting price for what you pay for it and watch Ebay do its magic.

Do post pictures if you get it! Would love to see it.
