Here is the Constellation that I bought at the convention. I paid $15 for all of it plus 3 bags. I just got it all cleaned up and figured I would share some pics with everyone. so here it is all cleaned up! I have another connie but its in pretty sad shape so im really glad I bought this one because I LOVE it!

Trevor

Very nice! I don't recall it being super dirty to begin with.. But you're good at polishing cleaners to make them look like new! I love the color combo. :-) Is it a model 828 or 858?

Thanks for sharing!

Fred

Connies are the coolest vac imho.. Nothing else grabs non-vac collectors peoples attention more than seeing one of them. Well especially younger people who weren't alive when they were quite common, it's like wow,, a vac that floats LOL

^ LOL

Pete its soo true! lol. And thanks Fred I try my best! And i always share whatever i can when i get the chance. And yes your right it was very nice to begin with but the motor housing (well motor hemisphere lol)was a little dirty and i wanted to just clean everything off to make sure it was extra nice (even though i really didnt need to LOL)

What I also like about the Connies is that they are relatively lightweight and easy to cart around, the handle doesn't require as much stooping over to grab and most of all they have a pleasant sound. Some of those other vintage Hoovers, like the Slimline and Portable... neat but heavy and ungainly to actually use imho.

The only slight Connie downside in our dog hair infested house is they blow said hairs all over the place

I always..

Thought that they were lightweight and had a great design. and they also seem so small and portable and easy to use but with alot of suction. I also like the nice quiet huming sound they have while running!

Looks great and it's complete! The 858 is one of my favorite Connies, and I have one too.
