Yesterday I went to my favorite antique store and found this Hoover convertible model 65. It was priced $40.00 but i got it for $30.00. The machine was kept in a dry place as it has no rust. unfortunatly it does not have the original bag. Still a great addition to my collection.

Ooh.. That is a lovely model 65.  Nice painted base and shiny hood!  You'll find a 65 bag, I'm sure... there are plenty out there.

Thanks for sharing!

I need an authentic bag, too.  At least it's a genuine HOOVER.  A shame the hoods warped.   But,  THAT is in very nice shape!  Kudos!

Does anyone know if there is anything I could do to protect the hood from further warping?
