My dad and I stopped by my favorite thrift store this morning and found some awesome deals! First off, it was half off day. I asked if they had any vacuums and she brought me in the back (she saves all of them for me). I got so excited when I saw a gray Filter Queen hose and a Kenmore Twin Fan handle sticking out! There was the Filter Queen Princess 2, Kenmore Twin Fan Magicord, 1980's Eureka Metal Straight Suction Canister, Kenmore Whispertone canister, Hoover Windtunnel Self Propelled, and a Hoover Sprint bagless upright. I only had enough money for the Kenmore Twin Fan and the Filter Queen. The Filter Queen was priced at $40, so I got it for $20. And I got the Kenmore for $5. I'm going to go back another time for the Kenmore Whispertone hopefully.

The Filter Queen runs great, and just needs a good cleaning. The Kenmore looks bad, but it is really nice! It just needed cleaned. It even has a sticker on the bag that says "50% Better Filtration Than Our Vinyl Bags!". It is two speeds. Unfortunately it is missing the bumper though. But the cord retractor does work!

This is probably one of my new favorite vacuums. I still need to get the scuffs off and stuff, but it runs great!

OMG, that Kenmore Lifestyle upright is the exact same one my mother got around the time I was born in 1986, we only had it for 3 years. I have been searching for one of those for years, below is a pic of me using it.

Nice find

Thanks!
I use rubbing alcohol and 0000 Steel Wool, and then polish them with Mothers with a clean cloth. It makes them look new!

Hi Chase

as usual in SA we dipped out on many of the machines you got in the usa. However that kenmore looks cool and I am sure I saw it in a sit com as a kid , it looks familiar to me some how.

Really nice finds

congrads

Thanks for posting that ad! It is really neat!
Here it is, all cleaned up. As you can see, the sticker that says Automatic Height Adjustment is a little worn, but that is no big deal

Quick question

2011hoover700's profile picture

Will Eureka f&g bags replace this one's type or does this and the model in the catalog page posted in reply 7 take the top mount bag Kenmore style 50341 (Singer sub 2)?

I do admire that twin fan.
