Barbie is wearing a helmet made from one of those little plastic toy containers in a grocery store entrance vending machine.

Make the best spaceships, don't they!! Especially in the hands of the Rocket Warrior!! Great job, Mark, and interesting use of the medicine cabinet lights from the same time era as side boosters. We actually have the same fixtures in our bathroom with milkglass tops.

Love the Waring "Rocket Blender" base as the Main rocket "engine"!

As a random fact that is semi related to this topic ;p

The Soviet era Raketa vacuum cleaner which was used onboard the mir space station looked a lot like a kenmore :P (yet was prob brand new in the 1980s..)

So yeah, old canisters in space...

..another point about Barbie

I shaved Barbie's head and then put an inverted latex/rubber (whatever) glove thumb over her head and cut out the face hole. Then put the toy/candy container over that.

Rex - I initially intended the blender as a launch base but your suggestion that it is the main engine is a good thought. These projects tend to get a mind of their own. My muse decides to work so I just lend the hands.

When I looked at the rocket-thought of the Waring blender base as an engine-cool spaceship-and "Barbie" makes a good astronaught!Lets launch and have main engine and booster seperation!
