My ignorance of the TriStar has left me with the following questions:

1.) Is the TriStar effective at adequately filtering the exhaust air? I'm curious about the "micro" filter attachment which fits over the blower port, as well the pleated HEPA type dome filter I've seen which is made to fit over fan intake of the motor. Are these necessary, or even effective? My old dome filter seems to reduce the suction a bit, though I know it's dirty.

2.) Are there any ways I can improve the filtration without compromising the suction? I had thought about maybe "double bagging" the paper bag inside the cloth bag. Is this a bad idea?

3.) The cloth bag seems thicker than what I remember being on the older machines. This bag is one of the newer ones that's made out of that quilted fabric material covered in the little dimples/dots. It looks alot like the material Oreck uses to make the cloth bags for their uprights. Does this cloth bag have any above average filtration characteristics of it's own?

As you can tell, I'm not too familiar with the specs of the machine. I guess I've always just been blown away by it's looks. Sure would appreciate some answers. Thanks!

U can use "micro-lined" paper bags & HEPA motor filter instead of single-ply paper bag & foam motor filter; it'll greatly improve filtration & suction lasts longer.
