I disassembled and cleaned my b/f's mothers old non-s/p WindTunnel so that I could possibly convince her to use it as her primary vacuum on the wall to wall carpet instead of her awful Eureka Altima Bagless upright. However, when I went to put it all back together I labeled all the wiring connections except for the ones that attach directly to the motor. I was wondering if anyone has a picture or a diagram that depicts how the motor should be properly wired. I think I have it correct but I dont want to take any chances. I believe this machine is the original burgandy non-self-propelled Windtunnel model which and was built in Ohio. The vac is still in good condition and it has seen a lot of use but its been retired from being the main vacuum for at least 6+ years. The WindTunnel isn't one of my favorite vacuums but I know with out a shadow of a doubt that it can clean circles around the Eureka Altima. Below is a picture of the base plate sticker with the model and serial number. I'm assuming it was made in September 1999 according to the serial number but I'm not totally sure about that.

I also bought my b/f an Aerus Electrolux Classic canister from CraigsList for $80 about a month ago to complement the upright since my mother-in-law has never owned a canister in her life. She still hasnt used it but I havent had the time to show her exactly how it works. She was amazed that I snatched up such an expensive machine for so little money, and it was in almost perfect condition too. I've takem my own Lux canisters over there which she wanted to use but she almost fell over when I told her what a new Aerus costs. Anyway, The original owner of the Classic never even used any of the attachments, they were all still inside the original box still wrapped in plastic! My M-I-L's house is just under 3000 sq ft including a full basement and nearly then entire house is bare floors. All she tells me is how much dust is in her house and how dirty the bare floors get (even though she vacuums daily) ever since they installed central air with forced hot air heat. How can you possible clean a house thoroughly with an Altima Upright when everything is hard flooring and the vacuum cant be used on them? Im hoping she will learn how to use the Lux quickly especially since I pulled a ton of dirt out of her carpets with it, and as many of us know, a Lux canister is not the best deep cleaning vacuum.

Sorry for the rant and I hope the picture isnt to large, I sent it to my computer with my iPhone and tried to resize it as best I could but it still seems large.

Any info on the WindTunnel is greatly appreciated!

I forgot to ask if anyone knows what the correct part number is for the brush roll that fits this machine and what the average price might be for a new one. I looked on totalvac.com but judging by the picture they have, I'm not sure if it is the correct one. It looks very different from the roller thats in the machine now.

Thanks Again!
