Today was rather filled with bargains.

Mike & I picked up a Kirby G3, Kirby G4 (both with shampooers), Hoover Decade Supreme, Hoover Flair Bagless and a Christmas Tigger (for his mom)... all for $101.75. The seller even threw in a mint Filter Queen Mini Pow-R-Nozle & aroma thinggy majiggy as part of the deal.

Pictures are below...

I've started on the G3. I have to pick up a few things before I put it back together. It should clean up pretty nice, and the transmission should be good to go. I'll post pics when it's finished.

I've had a couple of G4's and at first, I didn't recognize the one in your pics. Maybe it's the 80th anniv. graphics. Neither of mine had that on them. That's a bit like the G6, with the basic, 2000, and 2001 "Special Editions."

Yeah. I never saw an 80th Anniv. model. I was a little excited to get it. The person I bought it from might be selling me another G4 in great shape, if the other person she promised it to doesn't buy it.

I have one of the G6 2000 Limited Editions. I wouldn't mind picking up a 2001 and plain G6 for the collection. I have a plain G6, but it needs a ton of work. I'm not sure if it's worth fixing, but I still have to investigate it more.

Mike & I have been finding machines with the intentions of redoing them for resale, but we end up saying we're keeping them because they're different. LOL

We will be getting a UG Diamond from his mom, so the one we have will get restored and sold. We'll finally get some of our investment back. LOL

The Generation 3 is mostly finished. Don't mind the gross cord. It cleaned up very nicely. I still have to get a few things for it (obviously a cord) to make it about perfect.

Please don't mind the cord...

the cord on my G-3 turned that funny color too! I wonder if it was the type of outer covering on the cord that made the cords turn that color???

the cords on G3's turn that color thru age-best bet is to replace it with a new cord.

Thanks Bill. I enjoyed our conversations as well.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you to order. Things have been crazy lately, so we're trying to get caught up. I ended up buying a bracket cam at the local vac shop to get one finished --- woooaaa! $6.99!! At least they had a used G3 thumb screw for the handle for $0.50 LOL.

Here's the Ultimate G Diamond I finished up last night and put up for sale this morning. It's not as perfect as I would've liked, but funds are pretty exhausted at this point. We've been buying too much that we're not going to resell. I have another G4 lined up that's in great shape, so that'll be one for resale.
