I purchased a 1973 model 880 at Goodwill for 20 dollars and love it. Recently it has developed a grinding noise which was determined to be the bearings. My local repair shop cannot get this part, anyone know where one might be obtained?
Thank You.

In the meantime, could you please show us pictures of your 880?

Royal 880

This could be a long-shot, but maybe, just maybe, a bearing from a Kirby might work.

I'm not sure if this could be much help, but you can give it a try. Goodvac.com seems to have some parts for older models. I don't see anything listed for Royal, but maybe a Kirby bearing will work. Check this link and see if it might be helpful.
