Robert and I were in Boston/Cape Cod last this past week, visiting appliance friends  -- I got home very late last night, after having my flight delayed 7.5 hours... This morning, I woke up to our friend Gary, whom we go to the sales with most weekends -- calling to tell me about a vacuum that was at a sale he had just been to.  He said that he had it all written up, but decided to pass on it last minute, because he wasn't sure if I wanted it or not, and it was $28 -- which was a bit on the pricey side.  So, it was only about 10 minutes away from my house, and I decided to drag my sunburned self out of bed to go investigate...

What a cute little machine, and a fabulous little find!   Does anyone know what year(s) these cleaners were from?

What a darling!  I could very easily have seen $28 being charmed out of my pocket for that early 60's gem.  Here's a 1960 ad:

Wow!  1960, eh? -- much earlier than I thought!  Fabulous!

Thanks for the link to the ad!

I'm glad my short-term memory still works!  It's amazing the stuff I keep finding while browsing through the archived threads.

Great find Fred! The tools look to be in amazing shape.

Let's hope the motor did not take any damage from having the bag on incorrectly.

Hey Fred!

Those were made up thru the 60s, I have the other canister they made, The Light Look, in turquoise from a few years later, about 64 I think!

So cool! That would be the perfect size to stow in the trunk of your car or something.

Congrats on your great find! Didn't you just plotz when you saw it? A five year warranty back then, other than the door-to-door vacuums, that was probably the best in the industry.
